10 fun days out for an unforgettable autumn half-term!

The autumn half-term is the perfect time to get out and about together! 🍂 There’s plenty to do for young and old alike at Holiday & Resort Leukermeer and in the surrounding area. From spooky fun and excitement at Toverland to a special walk through De Maasduinen National Park and a day spent amongst the animals.

During the autumn half-term, Toverland is completely immersed in the Halloween spirit! During the day, the Halloween Days offer a fun-filled day of rides, shows and spooky fun for the whole family. Fancy something a bit more thrilling? Then visit the Halloween Nights, featuring thrilling scare zones and Haunted Experiences. Are you brave enough?

After a lovely day out, there’s nothing better than sitting down together for a cosy meal. You don’t even have to leave the park! Enjoy a tasty lunch, drinks or dinner at Beachclub Leukermeer, or treat yourself to the delicious dishes at Mio Mucho.

Fancy a fun day out with the whole family? Have a friendly competition at the bowling alley and see who can bowl the most strikes. A great activity for young and old alike, and perfect for a rainy day during the autumn half-term!

No one will be bored at Leukermeer either! During the autumn half-term, our entertainment team will be on hand with all sorts of fun activities. From crafts and games to fun activities with Fer: there’s something new to do every day.

Can you work together to defeat as many cells as possible? At Prison Island in Taurus World of Adventure, a new challenge awaits behind every door. Solve puzzles, test your agility and work well together to collect as many points as possible.

Put on your walking shoes and set off to explore ZooParc Overloon. Stroll past some extraordinary animals and discover a variety of habitats. The beautiful autumn colours make a day spent amongst the animals at this time of year particularly atmospheric.

Colourful trees, unusual plants and charming gardens: in autumn, Arcen Castle Gardens take on a whole new look. Stroll through the various themed gardens, explore the historic castle and enjoy a relaxing day out together in the fresh air.

Autumn is perhaps one of the most beautiful times of year to explore De Maasduinen National Park. From Leukermeer, this stunning nature reserve is practically just round the corner. Walk or cycle through the woods, past heathland and ponds, and enjoy all the colours of autumn along the way.

Step back in time and discover the remarkable stories of the Second World War. At the Overloon War Museum, you can see historic vehicles, unusual artefacts and hear personal accounts that bring history to life. An interesting and educational day out for young and old alike.
